8:10 Most successful season on record for Otago toroa
The toroa/royal northern albatross has seen a successful season this year.
A total of 38 chicks have fledged from Pukekura/Taiaroa Head colony - the most on record.
In 1937, the coastal Otago colony was home to just one breeding pair; today, more than 80 pairs call the colony home.
The Department of Conservation's Coastal Otago albatross ranger, Sharyn Broni, joins Emile Donovan.

Dunedinites are being encouraged to don their finest tweeds and spring frocks for the 10th anniversary of Dunedin's Tweed Ride.
Kicking off at 10:30am, the ride will be approximately eight kilometres and utilise cycle paths where possible.
The ride will conclude at the Dunedin Gasworks Museum for snacks, hot drinks, vintage cycle displays and other treats.
Co-organiser of the Tweed Ride, Ruth Barton, joins Emile.
