A house in the the Auckland suburb of Remuera went up in flames overnight.
Fire and Emergency says it received multiple calls about the two-storey blaze shortly after 1am on Thursday.
FENZ shift manager Lauren Sika said the home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and nine crews battled the blaze at its peak.

There were no reports of injuries or people missing and the fire was contained, she said.
Three crews remain on site, and a fire investigator was expected to attend the scene.
