Auckland police are asking the public for information after a man was found critically injured in the central city late last month.
Officers were called after the man was found unconscious on the corner of Karangahape Road and Pitt Street at about 4.14am on Saturday, 27 September.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rebecca Kirk said police were working to understand what happened and if anyone is responsible for the man's injuries.
"We know there were several other members of the public who were in the area at the time, and we are hoping they have valuable information to share," she said.
"There were also two potential witnesses who may have spoken to ambulance officers at the scene, and we would really like them to get in touch."
Police were encouraging potential witnesses to get in contact by calling the 105 number or to share information anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
