Police are investigating an unexplained death in North Dunedin on Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to a sudden death in Great King Street, around 2pm.
Police said the death was being treated as unexplained, and a scene guard would remain in place overnight while they made enquiries.
"Members of the public can expect an increased Police presence in the area," their statement said.
