An iwi says it's unhappy to only find out about an oil spill via the media and press releases from the Bay of Plenty Regional Council; One of Wellington's newest restaurants is serving its diners Te Reo Maori - not as a dish, but as an extra language on its menu; The Waitangi Tribunal has called a judicial conference to sort out second round of hearings into Maori fresh water and geothermal rights; The Geographic Board is consulting with the public on its plans to assign the name Remutaka Pass at the top of the Rimutaka Ranges.
