A business group is calling the reduced Covid-19 isolation requirements a small gasp of relief.
From Friday night, Covid-19 cases will only have to isolate for seven days instead of 10.
The Canterbury Chamber of Commerce said it was a good start, but they wanted to see even more reductions.
