ACT: need more jobs rather than raising min wage

Prime Minister Chris Hipkins announced yesterday that the minimum wage for New Zealand workers will increase by $1.50 in April an hour. The 7 percent increase is still below inflation, but brings the minimum wage to $22.70. Speaking to media yesterday, Act leader David Seymour said it means that employees are going to be earning more than business owners, and said it will push prices up. But who could live on that in this day an age? Nathan Rarere spoke with Act Party deputy leader Brooke van Velden.
