On the Waitaki Coast, east side of Te Wai Pounamu, the South Island, artist Judith Lofley harvests kelp. She bends, folds and knits it to makes vessels and objects. She calls it the kelpery and her work is currently on show with exhibition Ocean Oracles and Odysseys at Ōamaru's Forrester Gallery until December 7.
Judith joins Culture 101 for this week's Regional Wrap to introduce the Waitaki district.
