The Antipodes Quartet is an ensemble of emerging and early-career musicians: Eden Annesley and Mana Waiariki (violins), Tal Amoore (viola) and Lavinnia Rae (cello).

The quartet is the first ensemble to take part in the Fellowship Programme, a professional development opportunity for around a year, which is facilitated by the New Zealand String Quartet, Chamber Music New Zealand and the Adam Chamber Music Festival.

Along with receiving performance coaching, there’s also mentorship in developing those essential non-performance skills necessary for a career in the arts, such as marketing, publicity and fundraising.

An important part of the Fellowship Programme is the various performance opportunities it offers, which include a tour around the country for Chamber Music New Zealand

The Antipodes Quartet came into the RNZ studios a few days before the first concert in their tour, to give a little taste of what audiences can hear at the concerts and chat with Bryan Crump about how they’ve found the Fellowship Ensemble experience so far.
